A unified campus with a consistent brand and mission strengthens the university. A clear message and visual identity reflect a multi-faceted, but unified, organization.
Flag Rules and Etiquette
The fundamental rule of flag etiquette is to treat all flags with respect and common sense. The United States, State of Idaho and Boise State flags and stands can be reserved through conference services.
International Gift Giving
For dignitary visits, high-profile program participants or honorees, it is appropriate that a gift be presented on behalf of the University in appreciation or to promote goodwill. It is the responsibility of the hosting department to purchase a gift that could be presented by the President, University Executives or appropriate designate. Gifts and awards purchased for non-employees are subject to the limitations defined in Boise State University Policy #6230.
As Boise State continues to expand our global footprint and influence, it is essential that we have an understanding of our diverse visitors’ needs and cultures, and serve as welcoming hosts and ambassadors of Boise State throughout all our interactions. Each visitor and situation is unique, requiring its own set of guidelines, tips, and expectations.
Note that the President’s Office is the coordinating point for government officials and visiting dignitaries.
