It’s hard to believe that it’s already November, and that we’ll be celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday next week. This is a great time of year to be at Boise State University, with campus activities in full swing, a host of athletic events on the calendar, and a chill in the air that makes just walking across campus invigorating. From the largesse of local private donors to major grants from federal foundations and institutions, the funding for Boise State University’s widening research agenda and important services continues to grow. Four recent examples have bolstered our efforts in the areas of biology, gender studies, engineering and geosciences. (more…)

Once again, the Boise State football team is giving the university a wonderful opportunity to showcase other noteworthy achievements beyond the blue. To be sure, the Broncos’ impressive 42-14 victory over Oregon State in front of a capacity crowd on national television last Thursday evening wasn’t the only big news on our campus. Dear Friends:

With summer in full swing, I hope this letter finds you enjoying some of Idaho’s incredible recreational opportunities. Here on campus, it’s business as usual. As I’ve stated in this space before, while we typically think of summer as a time when our pace slows a bit, such is not the case at Boise State University. With summer classes and workshops; academic, athletic and musical youth camps; fine arts performances and exhibits; and conferences and meetings in our Student Union and other facilities, the Boise State campus continues to be a bustling place during the summer months.
